Sensei Antony Mavroudis is a San Dan in Traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate. Sensei Antony is also Shodan Black Belt in Traditional Japanese Jujutsu. Sensei Antony has trained with Shihan Mike Hatgis (Go Dan Black Belt) for over thirty years. Shihan Mike Hatgis trained directly with Master Toyotaro Miyazaki who was a student of Tomosaburo Okano. Master Okano trained directly under Gichin Funakoshi who was the founder of Shotokan Karate. Sensei Antony has trained directly with Master Miyazaki at Special Seminars.
Focus is placed upon physical conditioning, Kihon – Basics, Kata – Forms, Kumite – Sparring and traditional Japanese and Okinawan weapons.
SHIHAN GARY D'AMATO
Shihan Gary D'Amato is a Yon-Dan in Traditional Shotokai Style Shotokan Karate and is Director Instructor for Black Belt Academy. Shihan Gary has been training in Shotokan Karate for over 40 years and specializes in Kumite-Sparring techniques and the application of Bunkai to Traditional Shotokan Karate Kata Forms. Shihan Gary has directly trained with both Shihan Mike Hatgis and Master Miyazaki.
